of all you need to determine how often you will be doing laundry
and take into consideration that cloth diapers should be changed
after they are soiled or approximately every two hours during the
day.
So if you plan to do diaper laundry every day,
you'll need at least as many diapers as the number of diaper changes
you do in one day. For doing laundry every two days, you'll need
to multiply how many diaper changes you do in one day times two,
and so on. It is common for cloth diaper users to do diaper laundry
every 2-3 days.
Here are some reasonable estimates of how many
diapers will be needed:
Newborn (4-10 lbs) : 2-3 dozen
Infant (10-22 lbs) : 1 1/2 to 2 dozen
Toddler (22-45 lbs) : 1 1/2 dozen
